Report Editor - Add Rich Text Field

This dialog box allows the user to add a Rich Text Field (RTF) to their banded report. The RTF editor acts like a very basic word processor. Users have the ability to add database fields and expressions to an RTF making it a great way to create letters. The RTF also has the ability to remove empty lines which can be helpful in creating address labels.

Note: Expressions embedded in text in Argos are surrounded by %%. For example, the expression ArgosData.Street_Line1 would appear in the text editor as %%ArgosData.Street_Line1%%. If you use the expression editor to add expressions, the %% will be added automatically.

You can configure the RTF using the following options:

This image shows the Edit Rich Text Field dialog.  Numerous options are available for formatting a rich text field.  The dialog contains a work area for entering text as well as a number of icons that can be used to format the text (font selection, font bold, italic, underline.  Expressions can also be entered.
