- Interactive dashboard objects are now always keyboard accessible in the Web Viewer without any additional effort during the DataBlock design process.
Resolved Issues:

Enhancements:
- MAPS and Argos can now be installed in a clustered environment consisting of multiple MAPS server nodes behind a load balancer, providing increased performance, stability, and redundancy.

Enhancements:
- Browser cookies set by MAPS now use the HTTPOnly and Secure attributes, which may help prevent some types of cross-site scripting and packet sniffing attacks.
- In the Web Viewer, when focus is inside a list box you can now type successive characters to perform an incremental search for values within the list.
- In the Web Viewer, dates in multi-column list boxes now default to the user's local date format (as configured in the browser) if no format was specified by the DataBlock Designer.
- In the Web Viewer, the Shared Shortcut button is now grayed out if the user does not have permission to create shared shortcuts.
- The Escape key can now be used to close a dashboard in the Web Viewer.
- The E,S,R, and number keyboard shortcuts that went to the Explorer, Shortcuts, and Recent tabs and to the folder paths in the breadcrumb trail have been updated to use AccessKeys instead. This resolves an issue where the shortcuts could be unintentionally activated when attempting to search within a listbox.
Resolved Issues:
- Attempting to run a DataBlock after selecting its Share via Email button was resulting in the error 'DataBlock "" does not exist'.
- In version 6.0, clicking into a form field and then pressing Tab resulted in focus jumping to the top of the Web Viewer instead of going to the next form field.

Resolved Issues:
- Schedules configured to run at frequencies greater than once per day were sometimes delaying other schedules due to incorrect sorting of schedule run dates.

Resolved Issues:
- Blocking popups prevented reports from executing in the Web Viewer.
- Report API calls were sometimes failing unless MAPS was configured to use HTTPS.
- In the Web Viewer, charts that referenced certain types of dashboard objects were displaying the graph as a flat line.
- In the Web Viewer, the Reset Variable on-click event was clearing the variable instead of resetting it to its default value.
- In the Web Viewer, OLAP cubes that had calculated measures and were set to auto expand columns or rows would not run.
Argos 5.4.1 - 08/07/17 - Resolve Dashboard Object "Send to Back" Issue in 5.4
Resolved Issues:
- After using the "send to back" function to move a dashboard object behind other objects, upon re-opening the DataBlock for editing the object would be in front again, requiring the designer to send it to the back again each time an edit was needed.
Argos 5.4 - 07/27/17 - Dashboard Alt Text, PDF Config Options, Run Schedule Now Button
Enhancements:
- Added a "Run Schedule Now" button to the list of actions available for schedules. Selecting this option will execute the schedule immediately, instead of at the next scheduled time.
- DataBlock designers can now specify alt text for dashboard objects and associate objects with text labels. These properties are read to screen reader users in the Web Viewer to improve the accessibility of the dashboard.
- When creating PDF reports via the API GET method, you can now include various PDF options in the report URL.
- When creating a schedule that generates PDF output, you now have access to the full range of PDF configuration options that were previously only available when saving a report manually.
- Added the GetExpr and ResetExpr functions to the expression builder for use in extract reports. Previously these functions were only available in banded reports.
- CSV and extract reports now have an option in the report configuration to append a blank line at the end of the report.
Resolved Issues:
- After upgrading to Argos 5.3, some users on Windows 10 and Surface Pro machines were encountering an access violation in module "combase.dll" when testing DataBlocks.
- When using a native database connection, attempting to use the SUM function within an extract report caused the report to fail with the error "Expected a numeric value on line 1 position 6".
- When printing a report, Argos was using the default color setting for the printer regardless of whether color or black and white printing was chosen in the print dialog.
Argos 5.3.1 - 05/09/17 - Resolve Parameter Clearing, AWV Credential Issues in 5.3
Resolved Issues:
- When editing a schedule's existing "Execute the report" task, any previously configured parameter values were cleared from the editor, requiring you to enter them again in order to make changes.
- Attempting to load an Argos DataBlock that was using a data connection set to "use connection username and password" with the credentials left blank resulted in the error "We were unable to load your DataBlock. Please contact your Administrator if this problem persists." when accessing it in the Web Viewer, instead of prompting the user for credentials as it should have.
Argos 5.3 - 03/28/17 - DataBlock Connector, Standard Charts
Enhancements:
- Added a new charting type that has a more modern look and feel and provides better consistency between charts in the Argos client and the Argos Web Viewer.
- Schedules can now be configured to run only during specified time ranges.
- Added the ability to pin a default saved OLAP setting so it loads automatically when running the dashboard.
- When saving a schedule with a next scheduled date in the past, Argos will now warn you in order to prevent unintended execution of the schedule.
- When testing schedules, the warning message now includes a reminder to verify the list of email recipients before proceeding.
- Reports saved in the Web Viewer now include the report name, date, and time in the default filename.
- Added support for the new Argos DataBlock Connector optional module, which allows you to load the results of an Argos report query into 3rd party applications and business intelligence tools. For more information, please refer to the Argos Help for technical details or contact Evisions to request a demo.
Resolved Issues:
- In Argos 4.6 and higher, attempting to export an OLAP cube that did not have a variable name resulted in the error "Failed required parameters check."
- Scheduled reports would sometimes stop running in cases where there were test schedules or schedules that failed and thus had an empty "next run" date.
- Values for calculated measures were not being stored correctly when creating saved OLAP settings.
- Buttons and hyperlinks that used the "fetch file" on-click event to download a file from a dashboard did not do anything when selected in the Web Viewer.
- Memo box text was not wrapping in the Web Viewer when the Word Wrap property was set to "Yes".
Argos 5.2.1 - 12/19/16 - Resolve 125% DPI and UTF-8 Character Issues
Resolved Issues:
- Clicking the "Test" button in the DataBlock designer on systems at 125% DPI caused an "Argument out of Range" error.
- Special characters used in the body of scheduled emails were displaying as question marks.
- Scheduled PDF reports would use incorrect font embedding settings if the report was run manually using different settings.
Argos 5.2 - 11/19/16 - Export Saved Dashboard/OLAP Settings, Suppress Duplicate Records in CSV/XML Reports
Enhancements:
- When exporting from Argos, you now have the option to include saved dashboard settings and OLAP settings in the output file.

- The Web Viewer now allows DataBlock Designers to position chart legends to the top, left, or bottom of the chart instead of just the right.
Resolved Issues:
- When Windows is configured to use the "Windows Classic" theme, the Argos client will no longer use themed styling. This resolves several display issues that were occurring when theming was not enabled in Windows.
- Invalid characters in report names are now automatically converted to underscores when saving the report. This resolves an issue where some reports could not be saved due to the generated filename being invalid.
- Corrected several issues with dialog boxes not displaying properly in Windows 10 environments.
- Resolved several issues that may have affected queries run using the native Oracle or SQL Server database drivers.
Argos 5.1 - 06/30/16 - Native Oracle and SQL Server Drivers
Enhancements:
- ADO connections have been renamed to "data connections" throughout Argos and MAPS due to the addition of support for native database drivers for SQL Server and Oracle. Refer to the MAPS 5.1 Release Guide for details of how to configure the native drivers in MAPS if you wish to use them.
- Added several schedule-related fields to the Data Warehouse, including the days the schedule runs, its frequency, and the name of the printer for any scheduled print tasks.
- Added support for using schemas, tables, and columns that require brackets or quotes around their names in the visual designer.
- Updated the Argos logo to the new red Argos leaf throughout the product.
- When running a dashboard in the Argos client, keyboard focus now automatically goes to the first form object on the dashboard so you can start entering parameters without needing to click them first.
- The eLauncher has been redesigned to better reflect the new Evisions brand look and feel and make it easier to navigate.

Enhancements:
- The Argos client and Argos Web Viewer have been updated to have a more modern-looking user interface that is easy to navigate, with certain areas now scaling better on different screen sizes. Icons and styling have been updated throughout the application, along with many other usability improvements to the user interface.
- The Search feature in the Argos client has been moved from the Search tab into a search bar at the top of the screen.
- Added an option to justify text in RTF fields used in banded reports. Previously, text could only be aligned to the left or right, or centered within the RTF field.
- When exporting text that includes extended ASCII characters from a multi-column list box in the Argos client, you now have the option to include a byte order mark in the output file.
- When committing a DataBlock, Argos now checks for references to objects or variables that have been deleted/renamed, and allows the user to choose whether to remove the references or to ignore them.
- MAPS Administrators can now designate a default "Run as" user for schedules, instead of needing to change the user for every schedule that is created.
Resolved Issues:
- Users in a few timezones were receiving an error regarding an invalid local time when attempting to launch Argos.
- Some schedules that used the bursting task were failing after the upgrade to Argos 4.6.
