ODBC Data Connection
The ODBC data connection integrates with ODBC drivers installed on the MAPS server to retrieve data from various data sources in one standardized interface, regardless of the database type or vendor. With this connector, MAPS applications are able to query and integrate data from a variety of systems (Oracle, Snowflake, etc) using a single method, rather than needing multiple data access points. No conversion between OLE-DB to ODBC is required.
Driver Properties
Here you can enter the Data Source, the name of the Database, and select a Driver. Under Advanced you may enter additional driver properties if needed (example: SQLServer Databases require a Server name field in order to configure). You may also opt to specify a username and password at the connection level, or leave it blank depending on how you decide to configure your user/group rules later on. The most basic method of connection is to enter a username and password here that all users who use this connection will use to access the database.
