Explorer Tree

The Explorer Tree is similar to the Explorer found in Windows. It displays an easy-to-use tree view of the folders, DataBlocks, and reports that the user has permission to view. On the right side of the screen, Argos lists the actions that can be taken on the selected object. The buttons are arranged into groups by user type, and only those buttons available to the user (based on their user type) will be shown. Users can also right-click on an object for a list of actions. Click to expand any object that has a "+" to see the contents of that object. Icons at the top of the Explorer Tree make it easy to create a folder, DataBlock, or report. The red "X" (Delete) will remove an object and place it into the Trash Bin. Deleted items can only be restored by an administrator.

This image shows the Argos Interface with the Explorer tab selected. Within the Explorer tab, all of the existing DataBlocks and Reports are listed in a tree-like structure.

This screen shows the Argos Explorer Tree with a DataBlock selected. The actions you will see depends on your user type and permission. When using the system default roles, the available actions are as described in the following pages.

Permissions

If your MAPS administrator has configured custom user roles, you may not see some of the actions listed. You should contact your MAPS administrator if you need to adjust your permissions.
